Part of our role is sometimes providing the necessary support to terminate a transaction that had hidden issues.
Not every successful real estate story ends with a closing table.
Recently, we worked with a client who was excited about building a future aging-in-place home on a vacant parcel of land. During the investigation process, she did thoughtful research and initially felt comfortable moving forward.
Shortly after the investigation period ended, however, new information surfaced that significantly changed the long-term viability of the property for her goals.
What followed was a stressful situation. Contracts had already been signed, timelines had passed, and she was understandably concerned about the financial and legal implications of needing to step away from the purchase.
One of the most important parts of our role as REALTORS is helping clients navigate difficult decisions calmly and wisely — even when the outcome is not the one anyone originally expected.
We were thankful to help guide conversations, negotiate a fair resolution, and help bring peace of mind during a very emotional situation.
Sometimes the best outcome is not “getting the deal done.”
Sometimes the best outcome is helping protect a client’s future.
